Our History

Since 1954, the Henry County Fair Association has been an integral part of the Paris, TN community, bringing together individuals, families, and businesses for a wide range of fun-filled events. The Association is led by a dedicated board of volunteers who work year-round to maintain the fairgrounds in excellent condition, making it available for all kinds of community and private events throughout the year. The Fairgrounds offer a dynamic space that can be tailored to fit the needs of any occasion, from small birthday parties to large-scale events like rodeos.

At the center of the Henry County Fair Association is the annual Henry County Fair, which is a highly anticipated event that draws visitors from near and far. The Fair has a focus on promoting Tennessee agriculture and community togetherness, and it features a variety of activities for all ages, from livestock shows and carnival rides to food vendors and live entertainment. One of the main events of the fair is the "Champion of Champions" competition, which is a can't-miss experience for all attendees. Celebrating the past, present, and future together, the Henry County Fair Association is a testament to the power of community spirit and the importance of coming together for shared experiences.

Over the years, the Henry County Fair Association has made many improvements to the fairgrounds to ensure that they continue to provide a high-quality space for community events. In 1985, the current cattle/livestock barn was built, followed by the Enoch building in 1996. The Pavilion was constructed in 2004, partially with a grant from the Department of Agriculture, while the south and north grandstands were installed in 2006 and 2007, respectively. The fairgrounds also have a wetland area called the snake pit, which was constructed in 2008 after the State of Tennessee required it. In recent years, the Association has added a porch to the small building and the livestock barn and doubled the size of the lamb barn to accommodate goats. These continuous upgrades to the fairgrounds show the dedication of the Henry County Fair Association to providing a first-rate experience for all who attend events there.
